Meet the Staff at Maplewood Pet Care Clinic!

Our professionals strive to maintain the health and well-being of every animal placed in our care. We provide the highest standard of veterinary care and preventative health programs available for your pet. Our staff of certified veterinary technicians are an integral part of our team and each member of the team has been with Maplewood Pet Care Clinic for at least three years and as long as six years. This means you and your pet will continually see the same faces!

Dr. Kathryn Marr is a 1986 graduate of the U of M where she received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree. Kathy has owned and operated Maplewood Pet Care Clinic since 1996. She has worked in various small animal hospitals in the metro area. Before becoming a doctor she worked as a veterinary technician up on the Iron Range where she grew up. Kathy also worked as a surgical technician for a veterinary surgical specialist while attending veterinary school. With the help of her parents, she built her dream clinic, borrowing the best ideas from the various hospitals that she had worked at.
The result is Maplewood Pet Care Clinic, a modern, service-oriented clinic and boarding facility.

Mary Kay completed her CVT program at the Medical Institute of MN in June 2002. She finished her internship at MPCC and accepted a full-time position with us. She passed her certification test in June 2002. As our Senior Certified Veterinary Technician she also helps manage our hospital. Mary Kay is Maplewood Pet Care Clinic's Clinic Manager and has been with Maplewood Pet Care Clinic since December of 2001.

Angie graduated from Argosy University in October of 2003 where she earned her Associates of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology degree. She completed her internship at MPCC then continued on as a full-time employee. She passed her certification test in January of 2004. Angie is a Certified Veterinary Technician and has been at Maplewood Pet Care Clinic since January of 2003.

Lisa graduated from Globe College in June of 2004 receiving her Associates of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology. She completed her internship here at MPCC and stayed on after graduation. She passed her certification test in June 2004. Lisa is a Certified Veterinary Technician and has worked for Maplewood Pet Care Clinic since April of 2004.

Becky is our new Kennel Manager and started at Maplewood Pet Care Clinic in March of 2007. She has worked in clinics and kennels with pets for 3 years. She started out working on the weekends caring for our boarding dogs and cats but did such a great job we were missing her too much during the week. She now works daily at MPCC taking care of boarding and giving walks and playtimes to the dogs. She is planning on starting Veterinary Technician school soon.

Emily is a recent graduate of Globe University and has received her Associates of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology. She completed her internship at Maplewood Pet Care Clinic and is currently working part-time. Emily is taking her Cerification test in June of 2008 to become a Certified Veterinary Technician.
